Tour Overview

We start driving through the route of the vineyards of Crete. The villages we will cross are famous for their grape varieties and wines.
We’ll visit the Monastery of Odigitria (14th century), explore Agiofarago Gorge, and visit Matala, the iconic village where Hippies lived in the 1970s.

1st Stop: Agios Thomas

A village at 760 meters altitude, dating back to 1371 AD. Explore Byzantine churches, aqueduct ruins, and Roman tombs.

2nd Stop: Monastery of Odigitria

Located in the Messara valley, this 14th-century monastery includes a museum with traditional Cretan artifacts.

3rd Stop: Agiofarago Gorge

A peaceful walk through the gorge (easy level) where you’ll see goats and sheep, ending at a stunning beach with fine pebbles.

4th Stop: Matala

Famous village in Southern Crete known for its caves and Hippie history. Free time for swimming, exploring, or shopping.
